Onno tiene un muy buen amigo, Paul. Les encanta irse de vacaciones juntos y especialmente.... ir a esquiar. Antes de que yo conociera a Onno, había ido con Paul (los 2 solitos) varias veces a hacer Deportes de Invierno. A Caro (la esposa de Paul) siempre le parece genial que los 2 amigotes se tomen unos días libres para ir a saltar en la nieve como 2 chicos chiquitos.
Este año se decidieron -para Deportes de Invierno- a hacer una Edición Especial, una edición "muy" especial. Ambos caballeros empacaron sus camperas, guantes, sets de ski, pero también... a sus parejas e hijos!
Así que los 7 fuimos a hacer Deportes de Invierno a Francia: Caro & Paul + 3 chicos y Onno & I.
Esta fue la primera vez en mi vida que fui de vacaciones para hacer Deportes de Invierno. Por supuesto que no sabía cómo esquiar cuando Onno vino por primera vez con la idea de ir a esquiar. Pero tomé clases, sí que lo hice! Tomé varias clases los domingos a la mañana en una carpeta rodant en el Centro de Deportes cerca de casa.
Y finalmente fuimos a esquiar! Manejamos 17 horas a Les Menuires (Francia) y nos quedamos en una cabaña fantástica que nos albergó a todos!
Pasamos unos días maravillosos todos juntos. Cocinamos, nos reímos, disfrutamos de queso y vino. Yo jugué con los nenes (Sander y Duko) que me recuerdan mucho a mis sobrinos Nano y Sebi (los extraño tanto)...
Compramos un pase de 6 días y luego de una semana aprendí varias cosas:
- Me encanta esquiar! Puedo caerme infinidad de veces y aún así me encanta.
- La próxima vez definitivamente voy a hacer snowboard!
- Cuando el clima no es bueno y la visibilidad es limitada es mejor que me quede en algún lugar adentro, con una taza de café o chocolate caliente. Me descompongo cuando todo se ve blando y no puedo distinguir qué es pista y qué es cielo.
- Onno es un instructor de ski espectacular. Gracias, my amor, por tu paciencia!
- Mis rodillas son mucho más flexibles de lo que esperaba. Pueden rotar 180 grados en mis esquís sin romperse.
- Deportes de Invierno significa ski y relax...

Onno has a very good friend, Paul. They enjoy going on vacation together and specially... going skiing. Before I met Onno, he had gone with Paul (just the 2 of them) several times on Wintersports. Caro (Paul's wife) always finds it great that the 2 big friends take some days off to go jumping on the snow like little boys.
This year they decided -for Wintersports- to make a Special edition, a very special edition. Both gentlemen packed this time their ski jackets and snow-gloves, ski-sets, but also... their partners and kids!
So the 7 of us went on Wintersports to France: Caro & Paul + 3 children and Onno & I.
This was the first time in my life that I was going on a Wintersport vacation. Of course I didn't know how to ski when Onno came for the first time with the idea to go skiing. But I took classes, oh yes I did! I took several classes on Sunday mornings on a rolling carpet in the Sportcentrum close to our home.
And we finally went skiing! We drove 17 hours to Les Menuires (France) and we stayed in a fantastic cabin that easily accomodate all of us!
We had a wonderful time all together. We cooked, we laughed, we enjoyed some cheese and wine. I played with the boys (Sander and Duko) who remind me my little nephews Nano and Sebi (I miss them so much!)...
We bought a 6-day pass and after the week I have learnt quite a few things:
- I love to skiiiiii ! I can fall countless times and I will still love it.
- Next time I will definitively try snowboard!
- When the weather is not nice and the visibility is very limited, it's better for me to stay somewhere inside with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. I get sick when everything looks white and I am not able to distinguish what is sloop and what sky.
- Onno is a fantastic ski-instructor. Thanks, hon, for your patience!
- My knees are much more flexible that I expected. They can twist 180 degrees on my skis while falling without breaking apart!
- Wintersports means ski and relax...

Qué fotos tan bonitas! Es una experiencia increíble ir de vacaciones a hacer deportes de invierno, yo también quisiera, los que más me atraen son bobsleigh y snowboard, pero esquí también parece increíble.

ReplyDeleteMe estoy poniendo al dia. ME alegra que hayas descubierto el vicio del sky. Respecto al mareo con luz plana, el truco es mirar las banderas del costado de la pista, no la gente que va delante tuyo. Eso y acostumbrarse ayuda (no se si a todos, pero con probar no perdes mucho) Besos
